Screen Time Causes a Decline in Many Areas of a Child’s Life

An article posted by the Huffington Post reviewed what current research is telling us about children’s use of electronic devices.  It was a brilliant and eye opening account of what happens to our kids after a certain amount of screen time.

Children who spend have just 30 minutes a day of screen time their grades are more likely to decline.  Also, our kids who are being raised in the technology age have less grit than previous generations.

I did a post on grit that really speaks to the importance of this quality.  But what’s more striking is the take home message… Screen time takes away from family time, which is important for healthy child development.
