There’s nothing better for a good night’s rest than exercise! Research continually points to a relationship between exercise and better sleep quality.
Activity in any form has been shown to help. A brisk short walk around the block (or two :D), to a favourite gym work out, yoga or Pilates, swimming or cycling, whatever the activity, those who are regularly active historically have been found to sleep better.
Now that the weather is warming up, and we have longer days and more daylight, this is a great time of year to start anew with exercise. The change of seasons is always an inspiring time to pick up where we left off with our healthy lifestyle.
Sleep is a very important part of bringing balance to our body, mind and spirit. This goes hand in hand with exercise. When both are in the picture, everything tends to work better: stress management, metabolism, mood, digestion and the immune system, just to name a few benefits.
