“Sleeping Naked Is Green” is a book written by Vanessa Farquharson, a National Post journalist from Toronto. She was working for the National Post when she grew increasingly curious about she could reduce her carbon foot print. She acknowledges what we all know… respect the earth, pollute less, be more eco-friendly… but inspired by the Chinese proverb “The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step,” she embarked on her project. She did one thing every day to support the environment. Some days the change was small, some days the change was big, but each change she made had to stick throughout her 365 day challenge. It was a really intriguing experiment and I thought she chronicled it really well. I can’t tell you how many times I laughed out loud and felt her pain as she tried to keep up the plan.
I loved this book! Vanessa’s narrative of her adventure was honest, down to earth and hilarious in many parts. It’s a great read and for anyone looking for inspiration on eco-friendly lifestyle ideas.
